The Dinos are coming to Fernbank!
Excitement is in the air at Fernbank Museum as we prepare for Dino Day! This roar-some celebration kicks off the opening of our new special exhibit, Ultimate Dinosaurs, and promises to transport guests back to a time when these fascinating creatures roamed the Earth.
Planning Dino Day has been as thrilling as discovering fossils. We’ve spent weeks brainstorming activities that will spark curiosity and create memorable experiences for kids and families. From assembling dinosaur-themed crafts to organizing exciting hands-on activities, our team is ensuring every detail roars with fun.

Ask all your burning dinosaur questions to two paleontologists! You will also have the chance to see and touch fossils and replicas for an interactive learning experience.

Can’t wait for Dino Day? Here’s a simple, dino-mite craft you can do at home:
Dinosaur Footprint Stamps
Materials:

Potatoes or sponge pieces

Knife (for adult use)

Paint

Paper
Instructions:

Cut the potato or sponge into a dinosaur footprint shape.

Dip the shape into paint and press it onto paper to create footprints.

Use the stamps to decorate posters, cards, or even a Dino Day sign to bring with you!
