Excitement is in the air at Fernbank Museum as we prepare for Dino Day! This roar-some celebration kicks off the opening of our new special exhibit, Ultimate Dinosaurs, and promises to transport guests back to a time when these fascinating creatures roamed the Earth.
Planning Dino Day has been as thrilling as discovering fossils. We’ve spent weeks brainstorming activities that will spark curiosity and create memorable experiences for kids and families. From assembling dinosaur-themed crafts to organizing exciting hands-on activities, our team is ensuring every detail roars with fun.
Crafts for Aspiring Paleontologists
Dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages will love creating their own masks, hats and fossils.
Meet a Paleontologist
Ask all your burning dinosaur questions to two paleontologists! You will also have the chance to see and touch fossils and replicas for an interactive learning experience.
Be among the first to experience our new exhibit, where you’ll meet larger-than-life dinosaurs from the Southern Hemisphere and learn what made them unique.
Go on an unforgettable journey from today’s sweeping North American badlands to the forests and estuaries of prehistoric Hell Creek, realm of the notorious tyrant lizard king.
Can’t wait for Dino Day? Here’s a simple, dino-mite craft you can do at home:
